There are only a few quality green bowling clubs in Andalucia. Green bowling is a popular sport amongst the international community on the Costa del Sol where most of the clubs are situated. 


At Santa Maria, where there are two eight rink international sized greens. Club days are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Casual visitors and touring sides are welcome and a 'package' can be arranged with the director of bowling.The Santa Maria Bowls Club charges 4,100 ptas for a fortnight's membership, up to 45,000 ptas individual membership for 10 months and 88.000 ptas for a couple. Green fees for visitors are 900 ptas, with bowls hire at 300 ptas and shoes the same price.Enquire to the Bowls Club office.

The Benavista Club, east of Estepona, is one of the most popular on the coast, has many active members, and organizes a regular series of tournaments, attracting players from up and down the coast and from abroad. Green fees at Benavista are 1,100 ptas, including bowls hire. Membership costs 1,000 ptas, with 700 ptas green fee to play. There is a clubhouse and bar.


The Costa del Sol Bowls Club is at the Mijas Hotel, and costs 600 ptas for a green fee, with 300 ptas to hire bowls. Annual membership is 22,000 ptas (with a 5,000 ptas joining fee) 


Mijas Bowls Club is on the road to the village, just outside Fuengirola. Green fees are 800 ptas and bowls hire 300 ptas. Membership fees range from 7,500 ptas for one month up to 40,000 ptas for annual membership.


The Miraflores Lawn Bowls Club has two artificial greens. A monthly season costs 2,500 ptas, with a 600 ptas green fee and 300 ptas for bowls hire. Annual membership is 50,000 ptas + 20,000 joining fee. 


The Spanish National championships are held in May in Almeria.
